What accommodations do you provide for athletes with cognitive, sensory, physical or learning disabilities?

We are a USAT-approved para-friendly race and are looking to welcome more adaptive athletes to the sport. We request that athletes who is afflicted with a specific disability or a health concern that is specific to reach out to our team promptly in order to discuss adjustments.

Is there medical support?

If you require medical assistance during your race, you can visit the medical tent at the line of finish. This is managed by volunteers medical staff and doctors of the Women’s Orthopaedic Center as well as Sport & Orthopaedic Specialists, the official medical team for the YWCA Women’s Triathlon. Additionally, medical personnel will be present on the course and emergency services will be on call.

What should I wear if I normally cover my ankles, wrists, and hair as part of my culture or religion?

We recommend hijabs for sport and swimwear that are tight enough to be secure and loose enough to conform to religious beliefs (like an a-line skirt). The swimmer must also wear a swim cap issued by the race over the head covering during the swim part, according to USAT regulations in order to protect themselves from injury.
